My Business in Spotlight
Name: Linda Starr
Web site: www.digitalmusicdesign.com How you help your clients: My software--The Music Masters Series-- helps them be able to study and rehearse chamber music in an interactive, virtual environment. Favorite celebrity: Rosalind Russell--I saw "Auntie Mame" at age 13 and it became my inspiration for how life should be lived ("Life is a banquet--and most poor suckers are starving to death." and the theme of tolerance). Different careers you've had in your life: Music teacher, professional musician (even played for P.O.T.U.S.), Composer (two musicals, words and music, performed in Los Angeles theatres), Businesswoman (MCA Records 1982-1995), Politial candidate (1998), Internet entrepreneur, actress (first residuals: 2001), and Cat Butler. Favorite anecdote: Much admired (and emulated) by Mozart,
composer/organist at the court of Versailles JOHANN SCHOBERT (c.1740-1767)
picked mushrooms with his family in 1767 in a village near Paris. They
took the mushrooms to a restaurant and asked the chef to cook them. This
chef refused, as did another and yet another, all saying the mushrooms
were deadly. The overconfident
